Profile
The Pink Clyt is built on the same logic as a Long Island, three white spirits plus triple sec, except it stops short of the full five and takes juice instead of cola. Splashes of cranberry and pineapple are what make it pink, and they are splashes rather than measures, so this stays a short strong drink rather than a tall diluted one.
Serving it in an old-fashioned glass is the detail that matters. Under two ounces of spirit with barely any juice would look lost in anything taller, and the squat glass keeps the proportions honest about what this actually is. The name is doing exactly what you think it is doing, and the pink is the punchline.
Glass: Old-fashioned glass | Strength: Strong | Serves: 1 | Prep Time: 3 minutes
Bartenders tip: Splash is doing a lot of undefined work in this recipe, so treat it as a half ounce of each and adjust from there. Any more and you lose the short-drink character that makes it work. Shaking rather than stirring is right despite the spirit-forward build, because the juices need the aeration to integrate. Pour the whole shaker in without straining, ice and all, since this is not a drink that wants to sit around getting warm.
