Profile
The Green Goblin Cocktail is a neon green party drink that tastes like a bag of sour candy. Vodka, coconut rum, peach schnapps and sour apple schnapps are shaken with sweet and sour mix and poured over ice, then finished with a lime wedge. It glows a vivid apple green that looks fantastic under Halloween lights.
This is not a subtle drink, and it is not trying to be. Sour apple leads, peach and coconut add a tropical sweetness behind it, and the sweet and sour mix keeps it tart enough to stay balanced. With four ounces of spirits and liqueurs, it is also stronger than its candy flavor suggests.
Glass: Old fashioned glass | Strength: Strong | Serves: 1 | Prep Time: 3 minutes
Bartenders tip: Swap the bottled sweet and sour mix for half an ounce each of fresh lime juice and simple syrup to cut the sugar and brighten the flavor. Squeeze the lime wedge in before drinking for extra tartness. It batches easily in a pitcher, so it works well for a party.
