Pink Passion leans on Passoa, a passion fruit liqueur from the Netherlands that is about as unsubtle as liqueurs get. It is vivid red in the bottle, intensely tropical and quite sweet, and here it is paired one to one with vodka and stretched out with Sprite.
The result is a long, fizzy, fruity highball that tastes of passion fruit first and everything else second. The vodka adds strength without getting in the way, which is its whole job. The lime wedges are more than decoration, since a squeeze cuts through the sweetness of the liqueur and the soda.

Bartenders tip: The original measures the spirits in centilitres and the Sprite in parts, which is not much help. About 12 cl of Sprite, roughly four ounces, gives a highball that is balanced rather than syrupy. Build it in the order given over plenty of ice so the soda folds the liqueur in without much stirring. If you cannot find Passoa, a passion fruit syrup with a little extra vodka gets close, though you lose some of the depth the liqueur brings.
